Eating Your Favorite Chocolates While Losing Weight: The Chocolate Diet Method

The chocolate diet by Lenny Neimark can be considered a dieter’s dream. Chocolate is one of the well-loved foods of people from all walks of life. In this type of diet, you are not only allowed to eat your favorite chocolate but you can also have pasta and popcorn. Neimark wrote a book entitled The Pasta, Popcorn, and Chocolate Diet, for all dieters for whom chocolate was out of bounds.

In the chocolate diet, you don’t have to worry about getting bored on eating the same foods everyday as you can use different low-fat pasta sauces and varieties of fruits in order to make your diet less monotonous. It is important to note that this chocolate diet is not actually focused on eating chocolates alone but on a healthy diet.

Here is a sample meal plan that you can follow. For your breakfast, you can have fresh fruit, fruit salad and shredded wheat with non-fat milk and strawberries. Meanwhile, you can have popcorn and fruit for your morning snack. And your lunch may include a choice between salad, pasta salad and spaghetti. For either salad, you have to guarantee that you only use low-calorie dressing if at all you feel the need for any kind of dressing.

In the afternoon, you can have popcorn, vegetable sticks and fruit smoothie. In making a smoothie, you can blend ½ frozen banana, ½ cup frozen peaches or other fruits of your choice and 1 cup non-fat skim milk. And for your dinner, you have fettuccini with garlic tomato sauce/whole wheat pasta primavera, salad and steamed vegetables.

And last but definitely not the least, your evening snack may include popcorn and up to 1 ounce chocolate. However, you have to make sure that in sticking with the chocolate diet, you need to consume a lot of water.

Of course, if you want to lose weight, there are still some foods that you need to avoid while you are on the Pasta-Chocolate diet and these include the following:

•Alcoholic beverages
•Sugars
•Salt or sodium
•Oil
•Oily fruits such as avocado and coconuts
•Fried foods
•Dairy products
•Nuts and seeds
•Coffee/caffeine
•Carbonated soft drinks

With the chocolate diet, the old method of getting rid of chocolates to ensure weight loss will definitely be ignored. Today is your chance to eat chocolates and at the same time achieve your most desired weight. However, you need to be more responsible when you are on this type of diet. If you tend to binge on chocolates, then it is important to note that you have to avoid buying big packages of chocolates. Eating too much chocolates can lead to obesity problems.
