In order for the body to effectively lose weight, performing cardiovascular exercises is suggested. Any activity which involves the increase of the heart rate for long periods of time is basically referred to as an aerobic exercise. Examples of which include swimming, cycling and distance running. On the other hand, other activities which are performed for a shorter period of time but have more intense time interval is called an anaerobic exercise. Examples of these exercises include sprinting, tennis and the like. When the number of your heart beats per minute is multiplied by the amount of blood which is pumped by your heart’s ventricle for every contraction, the core is determined.
For every activity, warm up is a very essential part. Warming up is just a preparation for a more strenuous activity. There are many advantages of warm up exercises including an increase in the following aspects namely heart rate, respiration rate, muscle contraction, metabolism and blood flow to the active muscles. This type of preparation exercise serves as a fuel for the next activity that you will do.
To be able to successfully lose weight through cardiovascular exercises, there are still some things you need to consider namely time, frequency and intensity. The frequency pertains to how many times a cardiovascular training exercise is performed per week. For effective weight loss, the training exercise should be done for 3 to 5 days a week.
The intensity of the workout determines how much calories the body can burn. Based on the heart rate, the intensity can be determined in a qualitative manner. During an exercise, a heart rate which is 60% of the maximum heart rate is less intense than that of an 80% heart rate. The exercise with the lesser intensity would burn lesser amounts of calories.
Before sending or upgrading the intensity of the exercise, consulting a doctor or physician is very important especially if you are extremely obese. This is because increasing the workout intensity would mean that the body is going to experience more muscle stress than the usual. It is important to visit a doctor so that the person will know if the exercise is good for him to handle or if it will only cause him more muscle pain.
If an exercise has greater intensity, the body needs more amount of oxygen intake. It is very important to be warned when increasing the intensity of the exercise. The body needs an increase in energy to be able to survive a more intensive exercise. Therefore, the body should receive the proper amount of nutrients to be able to handle a more strenuous physical activity. The use of appropriate type of weight loss equipment is very important since it stretches and compress those muscles.
Lastly, the time or duration of training is also important when a person wants to lose weight effectively. It is suggested to perform at least 30 to 45 minutes of short intensive cardiovascular exercises per day.
